Roman Trzaskalik

I have spent 25 years of my life in marketing, trying to understand consumers and bring them relevant and meaningful products and brands. I have spent 12 years abroad in 4 different countries and 3 different continents. Love and passion for beer and brands of Plzeňský Prazdroj brought me back to the Czech Republic in 2018. Last 5 years, I’m trying to preserve the incredible heritage and legacy of Pilsner Urquell and other beer brands like Radegast, Kozel, Gambrinus or Šariš and make them relevant for today and future’s generations. Part of my mission and passion is to develop wider non-alcoholic portfolio, including Birell brand and bring sustainability closer to our consumers via our brands.

Roman Trzaskalik, Plzensky Prazdroj

Plzeňský Prazdroj gave the world its most popular category of beer. The first-ever brew of Pilsner Urquell lager was made in the brewery in October 1842, when brewmaster Josef Groll used the then-unique method of bottom fermentation. The Pilsen brewing business expanded over time and today, the Plzeňský Prazdroj company comprises four breweries in the Czech Republic (Pilsner Urquell, Gambrinus, Velkopopovický Kozel, and Radegast), with over 2,000 employees and exports to more than 50 countries around the globe. It is the leading brewer in the region and the largest exporter of Czech beer.
