Paul Lefebvre, graduated as Industrial Engineer in Biochemistry (Master degree), Fermentation Section at Institut Meurice (Brussels) in 2002. He began working at the family brewery as a production, R&D and environmental manager. During 10 years, he expanded the range of beers proposed by the brewery with some new creations such fruity and hoppy beers, but mainly Belgian classical styles. In the meantime, the brewery was raised at a theoretical capacity of 120000hl/year. In 2012, became CEO of the family business. Since then, with his sister Céline Lefebvre, he represents the 6th generation of brewers at the head of the Lefebvre brewery. Active in the world of beer , Paul is member of the EBC Executive Committee since 2014 and of the Steering Committee of the Belgian Brewers, since 2018.

Based in Quenast (Belgium), the origin of the Lefebvre Brewery goes back to 1876. The brewery offers you a wide range of unfiltered special beers since the early 50’s, such as Blanche de Bruxelles, Hopus, Barbãr, the Floreffe range, … Six generation young, Brasserie Lefebvre remains above all a family business. Unceasingly in expansion and pioneer in beer exportation, they mainly work with overseas countries by exporting around 80% of their production.

2020 saw the launch of the Unplugged beers! A range of innovations: Funky Brett – a Brett Belgian IPA and Dikkenek – a Belgian IPA. Breaking up with old standarts. We brew beers as we love to share it. Unplugged beers are unique, brewed with local grains and exotic hops.

Around 50 people are employed by the brewery, producing 17 different beers for a total production of 80 000hl/year.
