Inspired by his father’s decision to start a small brewery in the UK, Jack decided to enroll at TUM, Weihenstephan. Studying there from 2006 – 2012 gained him his engineering degree and a good deal of insights into the world of hops. Deciding to choose a dry-hopping related topic for his Master Thesis opened the door to work for the BarthHaas Group, where Jack spent the following 10 years in various technical and commercially focused roles. In April 2022, he decided to join Yakima Chief Hops, as “Global Hop Extract & Non-Brewing Senior Sales Manager”.

Jack lives on a farm in rural Suffolk (East of England) and is married with 2 young daughters.
