A lifelong journalist, Evan Rail has been writing about beer for more than 20 years. He is the author of CAMRA’s “Good Beer Guide: Prague and the Czech Republic (2007) and the best-selling essay “Why Beer Matters” (2012), as well as many newspaper and magazine articles about brewing culture, techniques and history. He has served as a judge at various international competitions, including Birra dell’Anno, Brussels Beer Challenge, World Beer Awards, Italian Grape Ale Beer Challenge and Golden Bohemia, and has appeared on many TV and radio programs, including CNN, the BBC, Deutsche Welle and “No Reservations” with Anthony Bourdain. A longtime resident of Prague, he works as the international editor at Good Beer Hunting.
