Xiang S Yin is the Vice President of corporate quality and innovation at the Rahr Corporation based in Minnesota. His experience in the industry includes working as the Global Director of Brewing Raw Materials at SABMiller based in UK, and as Global Technical and Innovation Director with Cargill Malt. He served the ASBC as the 76th president, and is a recipient of the ASBC Award of Distinction 2015. Xiang continues serving the ASBC on the Editorial Board for the Journal of ASBC, as Chairman of the Research Council and the Asia Liaison Officer. Xiang is a fellow of Institute of Brewing and Distilling (UK), and is the Chair of technical committee of Brewing and Malting Barley Research Institute (Canada). Xiang is the author or coauthor of over 70 papers and patents. He authored the first book of the ASBC Practical Brewing Science series-MALT, published in 2021. He holds a first degree in fermentation technology from Jiangnan University, China, and Ph.D. from Heriot-Watt University, UK.
