Fechir, Michael

Michael Fechir is a research associate working in Dr. Thomas Shellhammer’s lab in the Department of Food Science & Technology at Oregon State University. He will soon defend his PhD thesis in Food Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich and Trier University of Applied Sciences, Germany. His research primarily focuses on the analytical and sensory characterization of raw materials for brewing and their impact on the beer aroma. Before starting his PhD, Michael received a Master of Engineering in Food Economy and a Bachelor of Engineering in Food Technology at Trier University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
