De Schepper, Charlotte

Charlotte De Schepper is a PhD researcher at the Laboratory of Food Chemistry and Biochemistry (LFCB) at KU Leuven. Her PhD project focuses on the complex interaction of starch and starch-hydrolysing enzymes from barley malt during mashing. Charlotte graduated in 2015 as an industrial engineer at the KU Leuven. During her master thesis at the brewery of Haacht, she discovered her passion for the brewing process. Next, she graduated in 2017 with a Master of Science in Bioscience Engineering. She performed master thesis research on the optimal use of barley carbohydrate in the beer brewing process at LFCB.
