Maia, Carolina

Born in Aveiro, Portugal, Carolina Maia completed an MSc in Food Science and Technology at University of Porto. She received her MSc degree in 2018, with a thesis on ‘Stability of beer through control of minerals in sweet wort’. Miss Carolina Maia is now doing her PhD on ‘Understanding electron paramagnetic resonance measurements of beer oxidative stability and how they are best applied to improve the shelf-life of commercially significant lager beers’ at the University of Nottingham, under the supervision of Professor David Cook and Dr. Jonathan McMaster. The PhD is fully funded by AB InBev.
