Bongaerts, Dries

Dries Bongaerts was born in Vilvoorde, Belgium, on April 19, 1995. He obtained a degree of Master of Science in Bioengineering Sciences, specialization Chemistry and Bioprocess Technology in 2018 and a degree of Master of Science in Management in 2019, both from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium. In 2019, he started his PhD research on lambic beer production in the Research Group of Industrial Microbiology and Food Biotechnology (IMDO) of the VUB, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. ir. Luc De Vuyst, with the financial support from the Research Council of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the KMO Portefeuille (in collaboration with a lambic beer brewery).
